In 2003, driven by curiosity and a desire to build a better building envelope, I began researching reflective insulation. At the time, we were constructing ICF homes and comparing their performance to traditional wood-frame construction. What stood out immediately was the impact of radiant heat—and how effectively reflective insulation could address it. Reflective products can stop up to 96% of heat gain and loss, yet they remain one of the most misunderstood materials in the building industry.

How could something so thin be so effective? And if it works this well, why wasn’t it being specified in building plans? The answer, I came to believe, was simple: a lack of education and understanding. The industry has long emphasized energy efficiency, yet reflective insulation was rarely included in designs despite its unmatched ability to block radiant heat.

That realization shaped our mission. We set out to educate builders, remodelers, and architects on the importance of incorporating reflective insulation into modern building plans. To support that mission, we developed building designs that showed contractors exactly how to integrate reflective insulation into their blueprints. Making the material accessible was just as important, so in 2003 we opened a supply house to distribute reflective insulation locally. If contractors were going to use it, it needed to be available on the shelves.

In 2006, we expanded with our first distribution center serving the Northeast, followed by the Southeast. Our goal was simple: make reflective insulation a staple item in lumberyards and building supply stores across the region.

Like many companies, we’ve faced trials and challenges along the way, but each one strengthened us. Our biggest milestone came at the end of 2024 with our name change and the launch of our complete reflective product line. We have been truly blessed by our partnership with C2C Reflective Insulation out of Virginia. C2C believed in our mission from the beginning, partnering with us as early as 2017 and manufacturing select products for us. They are a leader in the reflective insulation industry, producing nearly 50 product lines with materials sourced entirely in the United States and shipping worldwide. Their service, turnaround time, delivery reliability, and work ethic are unmatched—and their values align with ours. Like C2C, our customers remain at the center of everything we do.
